I play recorder, tin whistle, ukulele, ocarina and kalimba (none very well, not enough practice). I also own a keyboard, guitars, harmonicas, dizi, quena, violins, homemade 3 string, balalaika, jaw harp and a kazoo.
I learned viola as a kid 50 years ago, so learned to read alto clef and treble clef. I also had to learn to transpose on the fly as the teacher didn't have the repertoire for viola, so I had to use violin sheets. I use Musescore as tool to edit music from instrument to another, add tabs etc. Self taught in music except for the 2 years on viola, self taught on computers and had a 30 year career in telecommunications.
To play a wrong note is insignificant; to play without passion is inexcusable.
